➡It is Chronic skin condition in which particular region of body is affected and there is formation of small painful pimple like bumps underneath skin .
➡Chronic inflammation of the sweat glands.
➡They sometime break open and discharge is seen .
➡Less then 5% Population is suffered from this .
WHAT CAUSES HS ?
The exact cause is UNKNOWN . They are more around hair , so it is likely that the hair follicles are blocked which leads to inflammation and lump formation .
Commonly affected area are
Armpit .
Groin region .
Below breast .
Between buttocks .
And also where skin rubs which each others there are also change to develop HS.
Obesity and Smoking may trigger factor for HS .
There is no involvement for bacteria . But there is chances of secondary infection .
RISK FACTOR FOR HS .
AGE : Occurs at any age but more often seen after puberty and before menopause . So sex hormones plays part in formation of HS.
SEX : More prone in women then in male .
FAMILY HISTORY : positive in many cases , it may be genetic .
OBESITY : More often seen in case of obese people whose skin often rubs due to friction.

SIGN & SYMPTOMS OF HS .
There is mild swelling around the lump .
Lumps are small and painful , red in colour.
Starts as pea shaped lesion and many times rupture and discharge is seen
Discharge is offensive .
In early stage they develops as single small lumps slowly they develops in multiple which is extreme Painful .
If bumps are deep they forms scar .
There is mild itching and burning around lumps.
No sign of Increased temperature .
Tunnel forms or deep sinus track is formed which always discharge .

Try to loose weight , by loosing weight , surface area will decrease and there is less chances for friction between the skin .
